Nela Pietrová is an intermedia artist, curator, and cultural worker. She received an honorary BA in photography from the University of the Arts London (2019), and during her studies she participated in an internship at the École Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Marseille (2018). She then completed a follow-up MA in intermedia at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague (2024). In her artistic practice and writing, she examines queer and traumatic temporalities. She has exhibited, for example, at etc. gallery in Prague, Galeria Studio in Warsaw, and GAMPA – Pardubice City Gallery. She has published texts on the online platform Swarm Mag and in revue Prostor. Her thesis “Conditions of Immortality: Queer and Traumatic Temporality” (2024) was published in 2025 by the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague in an installment of the series 4x2. In 2025, together with Ester Grohová, she co-produced the second series of the Raut podcast. She cofounded the activist association NA*HLAS, which is behind the project Why We Didn’t Report It. Since 2025, she is the co-curator of the artist-run gallery City Surfer Office. She has been a member of the tranzit.cz team since 2023.
