Helena Ragnarsson works in financial and grant management in the art and culture sector, especially in projects with an international scope. Her professional focus is mainly on the taxation of artistic activities, international taxes and grants, and business models for financing cultural activities. She is interested in EU cultural policy and international cultural relations. Since 2017 she has been teaching externally at the Theatre Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. Her research at Charles University’s Faculty of Law focuses on the legal aspects of the international taxation of artistic activities. She has published a number of articles and analyses. In parallel, she is interested in the performative aspects of clubbing and raving, especially in relation to queer issues and bodily identity. She is the editor of the Czech translation of McKenzie Wark’s book Raving.
