On the border of fiction and reality of a French production company.

By naming their production company after the fictional character of Anna Sander, the company’s founders Pierre Huyghe, Charles de Meaux and Philippe Parreno indicated their interest in working on the border between fiction and reality. This area has been thoroughly explored in all of the company’s interdisciplinary film projects, in whose production numerous artists (Dominique Gonzalez-Foerster, Liam Gillick, Carsten Höller, Rirkrit Tiravanija, Douglas Gordon), musicians (Dave Stewart, Devendra Banhardt), designers (M/M) and architects (Franćois Roche) have participated. The initial point of examination can be an actual or mental landscape, a documentedfact or recollection. The objective, however, remains the same: to decipher ideological and semiotic systems existing in the background and to thus disturb the way their systems of dominance are organized.
