Clemens von Wedemeyer FILMMATERIAL

Screening

In Die Siedlung the backdrop of an East German housing project as the ruins of a utopia serves as a starting point to probe the system’s socio-political transformations. The film The Making of Otjesd, which confronts fictions with real shots, is linked to the "staged" Otjesd, whose main characters are Russian emigrants waiting in line in front of the German consulate in Moscow. Rien du Tout is the story of a director who shoots a film on the inhabitants of Paris suburbs. Maya Schweizer collaborated with von Wedemeyer on this film.

Von Wedemeyer himself will introduce the film and will take part in a debate with Tomáš Pospiszyl afterward.
