The term ‘hipsterism’ is these days used to describe a creative class, digital bohemians, or young people with a university education living a post-materialist lifestyle. Which one of these is it?

Is it a subculture or a scene? And does this environment, associated with urban neighbourhoods such as Williamsburg, NYC or Mitte, Berlin, have a subversive, anti-capitalist potential? And what about the Czech Republic?
