Photographic festival at TD: Conceptual traces in the work of Georges Perec

The debate will examine the question of by what means elements of a conceptual approach to creativity are used in the works Life, a User’s manual, Things, and W, or The Memory of Childhood by the French writer Georges Perec.

The friendship between Perec and Marshal McLuhan and Perece’s affiliations with the literary group Oulipo can then take us even further, directly to the sources and foundations of conceptual art. The curator Vít Havránek, the poet Michal Rehúš and the novelist and translator Václav Jamek will be present to talk about these and other topics.

The discussions will be chaired by Jan Bělíček, literary editor of the cultural fortnightly A2.
